Hello, again! I'm Janine and am currently located in San Francisco, CA!
Why UI/UX Design?
I have always been interested in design, psychology, and debate because I am endlessly curious about the different factors and multiple ways to answer the "why" of everyday things.
My divide between these widely different interests made it nearly impossible for me to choose one, as it would lack the aspects that I love about my other interests.
However, I did not need to choose only one. I can choose to demonstrate my skills and interests as a UI/UX Designer. Also, it just makes me happy that another person is happy.
Background
I am a first-generation college student, who was born and raised in the US. I make annual visits to family in Guangzhou, China, and Hong Kong. For those who are curious, I also speak Chinese (Cantonese).

Hobbies
Unironically, UI/UX Design is one of my hobbies. I often start personal projects and join design-a-thons and hack-a-thons.
Do what you love, love what you do.

Digital art has always been a comfort hobby where I can express myself and put my imagination onto a canvas.
The best thing about digital art is the huge variety of colors and tools available within my reach with just one touch.
Gaming is one of my favorite hobbies, as it's always fun and sharpens my observation and quick decision-making skills.
Besides being one of my hobbies, the world inside games has become a part of me. When I was young, I was not allowed to explore to avoid trouble, so this side of the screen gave me curiosity about the world and the ability to imagine the impossible.
I sincerely appreciate games in this aspect which is often overlooked.
